How our family remedy turned everyday beverage came to mind
As many people pass along recipes and remedies, many of them passed along generations are held near and dear to some people’s hearts. In the Fajvan household, our great grandmother had a very specific way of making her ginger honey tea. This was a great remedy to help those who are feeling under the weather as ginger root helps relieve pain and relax your muscles. As times have evolved and our grandmother, mother, and eventually my brother and I received it, we continue to drink it when needed.
As this was always viewed to my brother Stephen and I, Nicholas, as a remedy for when you are sick, we were curious if we can make a beverage that can be had every day, reaping the same health benefits and increased flavor. We began thinking of another type of drink that almost every person has in the world, soda, and carbonated drinks. As most sodas are rather unhealthy, we wanted to flip the script on that, providing a tasteful beverage that keeps your health in mind!
As we learned more about the soda consumer market, we had designed our product to appeal to soda drinkers to be a substitute. As we wanted to base it off ginger honey tea, we needed a more fruitful and appealing flavor that not only tastes well but is appealing to consumers. From this, we decided to make it a ginger-lime flavored soda. Very similar to big name sodas and beverages like Canada Dry Ginger Ale and Seagram’s Ginger Ale, it will supply that flavor, but provide the benefits of ginger honey tea.
To add more to the plate, we had decided to implement and add collagen and vitamin B to the beverage. Collagen is a supplement often used as a powder for many brands and would add it to drinks. We had decided to be different than competitors by adding this in, as it also helps skin care, bone density, and increases joint health. Working hand in hand, vitamin B allows for better overall body performance and boosts energy and mood! Providing small ingredients like these can change one’s overall day!
With these advancements and health alternatives to a beverage, we are sure this is the product for you!
